Kemball School is a day special school, which is part of the Orchard Community Trust. It meets the needs of pupils with cognition and learning difficulties aged between 3 and 19 years. Our post 16 department caters for pupils who have profound and multiple learning difficulties, including complex medical needs.
All pupils receive specialist teaching and an individual education programme designed to meet their specific needs.
Classes are small and there is a high pupil:staff ratio.
We became an academy on 1st July 2019. The Orchard Community Trust has been formed with other local primary and special schools. Alongside Kemball there are 7 other schools that will eventually form the multi-academy trust: Abbey Hulton Primary School, Etruscan Primary, Forest Park Primary, Portland School, Oakhill Primary, St Mark's C of E (Aided) Primary and Watermill School.
