Personal, Social & Health Education (PSHE) including Citizenship (PSHCE)

This subject is considered to be of prime importance and each pupil will have their own social skills programme specifically geared to their needs.  Areas covered may include feeding, toilet training, dressing and personal hygiene.  Some older pupils develop their skills in road safety and using public transport.  Drug and sex education, at an appropriate level, is also covered.  Many areas of PHSE are delivered during circle time. A copy of the school’s PHSE policy is available on request.  Citizenship is taught as part of PSHCE
